What happened to fionnregan.com?

Fionn Regan is a singer-songwriter dude from Bray. I got a random link to one of his videos a while ago for his song ‘Be Good or Be Gone’ (video in the full post). Incidentally that particular track is being used in a Toyota ad at the moment. In finding out about his music I visited his official site fionnregan.com two weeks ago and had a browse. UnaRocks linked to another one of his tracks called ‘Put a Penny in the Slot’ (mp3 clickage) so I decided to go back to see where I could get a hold of his album and bam, up pops a generic spam/hosting page. “That’s weird, I thought that was the address”, so I googled it and the cache has the site as it was. After looking up his myspace page it appears as if he’s aware of the problem and is gonna fix it.

The Finest – Purty Kitchen, Dun Laoghaire

The Finest
The above was snapped at The Finest gig I went to last week in Dun Laoghaire. You can view all of the shots I took on the night here or click through to the full post for a video of ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’. A fantastic night was had by all. 🙂

Finetune rocking the Wii

Finetune on Wii
This is just sweet. Finetune is a site that lets you search music artists, and once you select who you want, you get a great selection of their songs to listen to. They’ve specifically created an interface for the Wii at: www.finetune.com/wii We tried it out briefly earlier on and it works really well. The audio quality is very good and buffering wasn’t a problem. It also displays the cover artwork for each song if it has it. There’s a video after the break:

Saturday night at the Voodoo

The Finest in action
I attended another excellent gig by my favourite upcoming band, The Finest, on Saturday night at Voodoo. I randomly saw the poster while on my way to work last week so I rounded up Dave, Paul and Jay to go along. The lads have played a good few gigs since I last saw them in the Venue out in Rathfarnham and produced some great new tunes on the night. 🙂 We’re looking to develop a site for them at the moment, thefinestrocks.com, so hopefully that’ll be live in a month or so. For now you can check out their bebo bands page if you want to know more.
