After almost two months in hospital fighting various infections, George Best died this afternoon in London’s Cromwell Hospital. To anyone who enjoyed football he was a class act and one of a kind. Obviously, I never got to see him play in person but the footage I’ve seen on television showed just how much skill he had with a ball. All geniuses have a flaw and unfortunately George’s affinity for alcohol led to a lot of bad press and ultimately cost him his life. RIP.
