Now I’m not a massive fan of American football but one event I have gotten into over the past couple of years has been the Superbowl. I have to admit that my main reason for watching it has been the fact that one of the lads from the local puts on a big spread (legendary meatballs) and we all watch it in his house. This year’s game is between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. Going into the game the Patriots are strong favourites but the Giants have a great defence so it should make for an interesting one. The coverage kicks off at 11.20pm so I’ve taken work off tomorrow.

Post game update: The Giants won thanks to a last minute touchdown. The lads I was watching it with weren’t too happy as a majority of them had placed money on the Patriots. Food report: beautiful meatballs and wings, coupled with rice and a couple of cool beers. A1 Sharon.

Yep you read it read. Some Russian woman has 136 cats in a small apartment in northern Russia. The best bit is when they cut back to the reporter and he’s covered in them.

The amount of Digg’s this story has achieved would suggest as much. The story outlines how Cheney is seeking retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies that illegally spied on American citizens. The usual crap about ‘Al-Qaeda’ is given as an excuse for infringing on civil liberties.
