News is breaking of Heath Ledger’s death tonight. I had been looking forward to his interpretation of the Joker in the upcoming Dark Knight. It looks as if it’s a suicide at the moment. RIP.

Apparently Justice, the guys behind the excellent Cross, were asked to do a mix for Fabric but had it rejected as it was too short. I heard about it last week but the link I bookmarked wasn’t working this evening. I found another source and am downloading, will update this post when I’ve listened to it.

Update: Been listening to this over the past week and really like it. Yes it is eclectic and a bit of left field for what you’d normally expect from a Fabric mix, but in saying that it’s quite groovy.

What a fantastic film. Just finished watching it now. James McEvoy and Kiera Knightly are as good as you’ve come to expect in any film which bears their names. The famous steadicam shot is an astonishing achievement considering the length and complexity involved. Having not seen Joe Wright’s version of Pride & Prejudice, I’m going to seek it out. I’d be suprised if this doesn’t win Oscars.

This was taken at Pavel’s 30th birthday party in Czech in 2005. We had planned to play a match with the Irish lads vs the Czechs but when a thunderstorm blew in it turned the sandy pitch to a muddy mess. As you can see we went ahead anyway.

He has a tough job ahead of him at Newcastle but if he produces another rant like this it’ll be worth it:
