Now that I’ve begun to use Twitter again I wanted to see if there was some way for my blog to tell Twitter when I’ve posted. A quick Google late last week showed up Twitter Updater, a WordPress plugin that seemed to fit the bill.
After installing it and setting it up I noticied that it wasn’t sending anything to Twitter. Presuming that someone else must have had the same issue I spotted a link from the author’s blog to a mod which fixes it. I was going to stick in a graph with my TweetStats but they seem to be working on that site.

While browsing around Zavvi (formerly Virgin) in Liffey Valley today I found the following gems: Soccer Dog: European Cup and Irish Jam. How on earth do films like that get financed? What’s even more suprising is the fact that Soccer Dog: European Cup is a sequel to the original European Cup!
As for Eddie Griffin in ‘Irish Jam’, I suspect the IMDB user comment sums it up: ‘terrible film’.
On a more positive note, I picked up Family Guy: Blue Harvest, Superbad and The Lives of Others. Hopefully watch one or two of them before the weekend is out.

This photo was taken when Italy won the World Cup in 2006. Temple Bar was buzzing with people so we stuck around and celebrated with them. You don’t get a vibe like that in Dublin often so it was great to see everyone so happy. (The photo has been modified by Dumpr)

Sabrina has come up with what is probably the best idea I’ve seen for a political action campaign for a good while. It’s called ‘Two Tits and a Vote‘ and is an “online Irish Women’s Health Campaign empowering you to advocate for better women’s healthcare in Ireland”. Apparently men are welcome to participate too so hop on over to the site and purchase a postcard that is sent to Mary Harney (just €2.50!) or, if your really skint, just sign the petition.
